The summer in Paris

The summer in Paris

Published on in Events

Cold, stressed, hurried – get rid of all your prejudices about Parisians by taking advantage of the summer weather to discover a new side to the City of Light. As soon as those beautiful days arrive, a sense of joie de vivre takes hold on the banks of the Seine as locals and visitors mingle.

Paris – the first urban seaside resort in France

To fully enjoy the holiday spirit in Paris, head to the Georges Pompidou way from 22 July to 13 August. The sandy axis is filled with deck chairs and parasols, and you’ll find beach games, dance classes and a thousand other activities. The little ones will enjoy table football and minigolf, while their parents can relax for a quiet moment on a deckchair facing the most beautiful vistas in Paris. Try the pedal boats or kayaks on the Villette basin or take a romantic walk.  Get your flip-flops ready, pack your pétanque balls and a good novel, Paris Plage has arrived! But do  take care - protect yourself with sunscreen or beach hats.

A festival that celebrates solidarity

Because we can talk about serious things in a light atmosphere today, the Solidays festival has become one of the essential events of summer. Since 1999, artists and bands have taken to the stage at Longchamp racecourse to mobilise the crowd and educate them about HIV and AIDS. Once more, leading artists have turned out in support of this worthy cause, including The Prodigy, Kungs, Flatbush Zombies, Imany, and Boulevard des Airs. Three days of music and solidarity, from 23rd to 25 June – relax and have fun, but remember, the disease hasn’t yet been overcome so the fight continues.

Discover summer and solidarity at a festival that defies cliché.  The Vice-Versa Hotel welcomes you for a memorable summer in Paris.
