See Paris by balloon at the Parc André Citroën

Published on in Visit Paris

There are many ways to view Paris from on high; from the top of the Eiffel Tower or the Montparnasse Tower, or from the forecourt of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica or the steps of the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, among others. But the Vice Versa Hotel invites you to discover another, more secret, more intimate way of getting above the city; by hot-air balloon at the Parc André Citroën...

Soar above Paris in the André Citroën Park balloon

The Parc André Citroën is one of the newest public parks in Paris. With its water features and futuristic perspectives, it offers a cutting edge yet tranquil aesthetic and a green retreat close to the Seine in the 15th arrondissement. In addition to its many facilities catering for all ages, the park also offers adventure thanks to a huge, tethered hot air balloon that will take you over 150 metres into the sky above Paris. The view from the balloon’s gondola is stunning!

A 360° panorama

Hot air balloon travel offers a feeling of freedom and inimitable lightness. High in the sky, with nothing to obstruct your view and the breeze caressing your skin, you will literally have Paris at your feet. The curving ribbon of the Seine crossed by numerous bridges, the Iron Lady seemingly so close you could reach out and touch her, world-famous monuments and the capital’s characteristic zinc roofs gleaming in the sunshine. Even the city’s clamour barely reaches you at this altitude! The balloon flies every thirty minutes from 09:00 until half an hour before the park closes.

Experience having the City of Light at your feet and the sky all around you when you ride the Parc André Citroën tethered balloon. There’s no effort involved, but remember that sloth is one of the Seven Deadly Sins and, happily, one of the themed rooms at the Vice Versa Hotel!
