Explore the Salon de la Photo!

For five days, from November 5th to 9th, the Photo Fair will once again welcome visitors to the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles. The exhibition centre is conveniently located just a few minutes from Hotel Vice Versa and offers something to keep the whole family happy. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a photography expert you will undoubtedly enjoy exploring this exceptional fair.

Spotlight on friendship and talent

The large exhibition central to the show could be seen as a tribute to these two virtues. "A silver friendship" is the motto over the stage and it is beautifully illustrated by over 120 black and white photographs that show the viewpoint of two acclaimed artists, Gianni Berengo and Elliot Erwitt.  Great friends as well as gifted photographer, the duo take a unique close-up approach to current events, life and the role of the photo in telling the stories they have created together. Two very exciting and deeply moving views of the twentieth century.

Emerging talent

But going to a fair also means discovery. The “zoom” area highlights ten emerging photographers selected by various news editors for 2015. Two prizes will be awarded, the first by the press, the second by the public: and you are invited to vote for the photographer who has touched you most. Around these exhibitions you’ll find many other activities on offer as well as conferences, meetings and workshops. The “photographers area” offers enthusiasts the chance to present their own work, and is open to you!

Exhibitors galore

Finally, the show presents much loved artists alongside new photographers. It’s a chance for agencies, galleries and publishers to show off and highlight their new talents and a unique opportunity for visitors to preview their work. You’ll also find a thousand and one technical innovations – from the most complex camera or finest paper tablet to the perfect way to define photos to laboratory standard.
